I am typically tuned out during my writing sessions, no electronic devices. Last night after I finished writing, I checked my phone and my heart stopped. I was speechless and simply tweeted the Bansky image. Regardless of your race, religion, gender, or political party, we need to value humanity. From threats against students at Mizzou to terror on the streets in Paris, we need to stand as one against hatred against humanity. Acts and symbols of hatred are not merely “obnoxious, provocative, and offensive,” they are despicable. This morning I woke up heartbroken. I took solace in the lyrics of Stevie Wonder’s Love’s in Need of Love Today.
